About the Orchestra

The Woodlands High School Orchestra is a 6A program located in The Woodlands, Texas, and is part of the Conroe Independent School District. TWHS Orchestra is comprised of five levels of orchestras and an after school Mariachi Ensemble.

With over 200 members in Grades 9-12, TWHS Orchestra strives to teach students the steps to achieving excellence through our pursuit of music. 
  • 2021 Mark of Excellence Commended Winner
  • Consistently Achieves the highest scores at UIL Concert and Sight Reading Clinic
  • Defending Champion of the Early Music Festival at the Texas Renaissance Festival
  • Earned many best in Class and Best in Show titles at various music competitions across the state and the nation
  • Won and been a multiple nominee for the Tommy Tune Award for Best Orchestra in a High School Musical. ​
