Volunteer Opportunities

​SPIRIT NIGHT VOLUNTEERS

        NEED:  Volunteers to run the PRIZE WHEEL at Chick-fil-A.  
        REQUIREMENT:  Work a 1-hour shift collecting money and giving prizes.

EVENT HALL MONITORS/ CHAPERONES
        NEEDS:      CONCERTS- Parents to chaperone orchestras during concerts that are waiting to perform.  
                                                    Parents will not miss their child’s 
performance. 
                            SOCIAL EVENTS-  Parent chaperones to supervise orchestra students at social events
                                                             (eg. McC Orchtoberfest, TWHS socials).

                             SPECIAL EVENTS-  On occasion we need parent volunteers to ensure students stay in
                                                                 designated areas during special events. 

        REQUIREMENT:   Volunteer your time by filling a chaperoning shift.

SOLO & ENSEMBLE HOSPITALITY ROOM
Our orchestra program hosts this event.  The Booster Club runs a hospitality room for the judges and directors.  We provide a breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
        NEED:          Food Donations/ Hospitality Room Volunteers  
        REQUIREMENT:    Donate Food (Crock Pot Meals/ Salads/ etc.)
                                         
Fill a shift volunteering in the Hospitality Room on a Fri evening and Sat morning.

FIELD TRIP/ SPRING TRIP CHAPERONES
        NEEDS:     DAYTIME FIELD TRIPS:  Parents to chaperone orchestras during daytime trips such as RenFest.
                           SPRING TRIPS:  Parent chaperones to travel with the orchestra and oversee a group of students.
 

        REQUIREMENT:    Depending on the event, parents may be asked to ride the bus or drive their personal  
                                         vehicle. At times parents may
  also need to pay their own admittance fee.  Details will be        
                                         provided when sign-ups become available.


SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE   (PARENTS OF SENIORS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE PARTICIPATE)
        NEED:    Parent volunteers to review scholarship applications and counsel with other committee members
                        to choose three scholarship winners.  

        REQUIREMENT:   This task is done in a single day/evening in early May.  The process takes 3-4 hours. 

UNIFORM VOLUNTEERS
        NEED:  Moms needed to help with the distribution of dresses by helping the girls find a dress that fits them.​  
        REQUIREMENT:    Dress assignments are currently done during school hours.
